Dawlish Warren in 1972 |
||
| South Devon had always
been a favourite holiday location, particularly Dawlish Warren, where
the railway runs along the sea front. In late May 1972, myself, my wife, our 6
year old son, and my parents, headed south west, where we had taken a
one week rental of two holiday apartments close to the railway line and
the beach. And we had good views of the trains passing by, on the main
Western Region West of England line. I was therefore able to note the numbers of many of the various diesels and diesel hydraulics that passed by, though I did not record details of the trains they were working. |
